Ladyboys After Closing Time
What is quickly becoming the best part of a night out in Bangkok is at about 1:00AM after all the bars in Nana are forced to close by the police. What is so fun about closing time you ask? Just find a spot on the sidewalk on soi 4 and you will see masses of hot ladyboys leaving their bars for the night. The streets, sidewalks and parking lots in the area become jam-packed with (mostly) ladyboys deciding what next to do for the night. It is a scene that is difficult to describe, but is certainly something you want to consider while on the hunt for sanuk in Bangkok. If you are a cheapskate it is great because you no longer have to pay the barfine if you find your “girl” outside and she is off work already. It’s like having the selection of all three of the Nana bars all in one convenient place.

There is a drawback to getting a ladyboy from outside Nana after 1.00 p.m. Ladyboys who work in bars are regularly checked for HIV, freelancers, of course, are not. You don’t know what you’ll be picking up, unless you survey the bars first and try to remember the faces of the ladyboys who work there. Something to think about.
